The PSE-EE defends the “social shield” at the presentation of the Alava candidates

Date:

Cristina González and Maider Etxeberria are respectively the candidates for the Diputación and the Mayor of Vitoria, and were presented by Andueza in an act in which Sánchez played.

The PSE-EE has pledged to maintain the “social shield” during the time it is in the institutions.

The general secretary of the PSE-EE, Eneko Andueza, has warned the PNV that “either you are with the government of Pedro Sánchez or you are against the interests of the Basque Country”, while at the same time accusing this party of “feminist postcard” and having stresses that “in the presence of the sports teams” the socialists offer “solutions”.

Andueza made these considerations in her speech at the presentation ceremony for Cristina González, her party’s candidates for Deputy General of Álava, and for Mayor of Vitoria-Gasteiz, Maider Etxeberria, which was closed by the President of the Government and Leader of the PSOE, Pedro Sanchez.

The general secretary of the PSE-EE has made it clear that as long as the socialists remain in the governments of the Basque institutions “there will be a social shield” and the banks and the big electricity companies “have to get wet and contribute”.

He has appreciated the work of the socialists throughout the state and has referred to statements in which the PNV chairman, Andoni Ortuzar, assured that his formation was neither with Sánchez nor with the chairman of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo.

“Either you are with the socialists and with the government of Pedro Sánchez, or you are against the interests of Euskadi,” replied Andueza, who has insisted that the future of the Basque Country is through a party like the PSE-EE “and not through a party that has spent months not knowing what to do with its mayor”, referring to the candidacy for mayor of Vitoria-Gasteiz.
