The Gazte Martxa de Ernai arrives in Elizondo under the motto “The struggle sets us free”

Date:

With the commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the Battle of Amaiur in the background, they have claimed that they are still “standing” and intend to continue.

After a tour of Zugarramurdi, Amaiur and Erratzu, the Gazte Martxa, organized by the youth movement of the nationalist left, Ernai, has already arrived in Elizondo. The march, performed under the slogan “BostEHun eta zutik!”, has come to an end, and now it is the turn of the reflection, for the most important political act and the concerts of the night.

With the commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the Battle of Amaiur in the background, they have claimed that they are still “standing” and intend to continue. About a thousand young people made the trip over several days, but for today the organization expects that number to triple. Ernai spokeswoman Ane Alava explained that with the march they wanted to show that they want to “fight out of humility and weave the independence network to build a Euskal Herria without oppression”.

At 8.30 pm there will be a conference entitled “The struggle sets us free”, although further on they will cover several talks and roundtables on topics such as the right to housing, new models of society or the situation of the independence processes in Europe and Basque.

After the political act it is the turn of the music: Iheskide, McOnak, Tremenda Jauria, Xiberoots and Ibil Bedi will take the stage in Elizondo.
