Urkullu stressed that “after more than twelve and a half years, today the final ruling of the Supreme Court regarding the so-called ‘De Miguel case’ has been announced.” In this sense, it has reaffirmed its statements of April 1, 2010 and that of December 17, 2019 before the first ruling of the Provincial Court of Álava, in which it rejected “all cases of corruption” and its “commitment with transparency and ethics in public and political management”.

In addition, it reaffirmed its “absolute respect for the decisions of the judiciary”, which “must be respected and complied with, also taking into account the course of the judicial proceedings”. “I endorse the strongest rejection of some facts that are contrary to the ideology and ethical values ​​that we defend and for which we want to represent ourselves,” he concluded.
