More than 1,500 people gathered at the Astelena pediment in Eibar for the presentation of EHKS, the main political reference point of the socialist movement. During the event, the seven keys to the new organization’s roadmap were outlined.
He Socialist Movement presented today in Eibar de Socialist Council of Euskal Herria (EHKS)the organization that from now on will be the political reference point of the movement.
Under the motto “Alternatiba sozialista antolatu“(organize the socialist alternative), have presented the seven keys that will make up the roadmap from EHKS: “the deteriorating living conditions and misery of the working class, NATO and the increase in wars, the authoritarianism of the state and fascism, the destruction of ecosystems, the repression of working women, the right to self-determination of the working class of Euskal Herria (including the survival of the Basque language) and the amnesty of revolutionary political activists.
Ander Goiatxe and Ane Ibarzabal, who have served as spokespersons for EHKS, have claimed that “in the midst of the capitalist crisis” there is now a real situation for “make communism hegemonic“. “Socialism or capitalist barbarism. There is no possibility of intermediate routes,” they claim.
Although it was born with the vocation of being a political reference, EHKS does not intend to participate in the institutions. Precisely, EHKS has criticized the political parties, expressly citing PNV, UPN and EH Bildu, for carrying out their political project “within the framework of capitalism”.
They have advocated that EHKS “a political form committed to universal well-being“and “an intergenerational framework” to “start building today a model of society based on new ethical and moral values.”
They propose an organizational model based on “a mass organization with ambition and capacity to organize the proletariat as a whole, (…) both here and anywhere in the world.”
The new organization will be that which will be presented in the coming weeks both in the capitals and in the regions.
