A day after the Supreme Court upheld the capital sentences imposed on the three former leaders of the PNV in Álava for corruption related to the De Miguel case, the reactions continue. In an interview given to the “Faktoria” program by Euskadi Irratia, the general secretary of the PSE-EE, Eneko Andueza, believes that there is no excuse for these people to remain at their posts and therefore hopes that they will soon be “out”. Yesterday, the Basque government ordered the resignations of Alfredo De Miguel and Koldo Otxandiano: De Miguel, from the public company Hazi; Otxandiano, from the Álava Technology Park.
In any case, he believes that they could have been fired sooner. Andueza understands the argument of the PNV and the Basque government, but thinks so do something else from an ethical point of view.
