Iñigo Iturrate (PNV) denounces the seriousness of espionage for politicians and calls for responsibilities to be purged

Date:

In the case of political espionage through the Pegasus program, the PNV MP has emphasized that those who knew about it or who supported it should take political responsibility.

The coordinator of the PNV parliamentary group, Iñigo Iturrate, has expressed the “very serious” Spying on 65 pro-independence politicians through the Pegasus program and believes that state organizations have somehow participated in it. In an interview with the Euskadi Irratia program “Faktoria” he emphasized that it is a clear and serious attack on the rights of individuals and the political-institutional structure. In this regard, he asked that the people who were informed or protected would take political responsibility. “The PNV will be there to claim and denounce it,” he added.

The PNV MP has criticized EH Bildu’s attitude, blaming him for his unwillingness to agree“It’s impossible to offer deals with one hand and strike with the other.” In particular, the EC has accused Bildu of abusing the plenary session on the war in Ukraine to put the clash between two models on the table. “If you imagine a collision, disagreements will arise,” he added. According to Iturrate, there was no real opportunity to negotiate and reach consensus with EH Bildu, pointing out that “there was no will”. In that sense, he said that the day before the plenary, they sent their proposals to all political groups and that EH Bildu only reacted at the last minute.

In this week in which a government was formed in Castile-León with the participation of vox, Iñigo Iturrate has referred to the need to corner the far right. In that sense and with a view to the future, the PSOE or the PP have been willing to exclude Vox and leave it out of the government of Spain.

Yesterday the general secretary of the PP in Euskadi, Laura Garrido, Andoni attacked Ortuzar, assuring him that it is an “insult” to compare the situations in Ukraine, the Sahara and Euskadi with his statements in Aberri Eguna. Today, Iñigo Iturrate has responded to Laura Garrido, saying that it is an “insult to the intelligence” to build a theory or message on what Ortuzar has not said. According to Iturrate, Ortuzar stated that Ukraine, the Sahara, like any other people in the world, has the right to decide its future.

asked by a new political status for Euskadi, Iñigo Iturrate does not see today that he does not see the will to tackle the debate in the Basque parliament.
