After his serious accident with an e-scooter, Finance Minister Magnus Brunner (ÖVP) reported back to the office and with dignity – albeit from the home office for the time being. The minister also thanked Instagram for the many well-wishes.
In mid-January, Brunner fell with his e-scooter near Vienna’s Burgtheater, fracturing the base of his skull. After a few days in hospital, the minister had to recover at home, but since Monday he has been working at home again. Brunner wants to make appointments again in the coming week.
The minister thanks colleagues for their best wishes
“Over the past few days I have received many wishes for recovery, for which I would like to thank you all very much. I would also like to thank my colleagues at the Eurogroup Finance Minister for the kind card and kind words,” Brunner wrote on Instagram. The Vorarlberger is currently in the country, the doctors had prescribed strict rest for him after the crash.
Brunner is often on the road with the e-scooter, so people around him heard. It is not known how the accident happened late at night. However, visibility at the time of the accident would not have been optimal.
