Moreno convened an extraordinary governing council this afternoon to inform the Coalition Executive (PP-Cs) of the election date, which will be five months before the end of the parliamentary term.
The Andalusian elections are on Sunday 19 June, as the chairman of the board of directors Juanma Moreno will sign this Monday the decree of dissolution of Parliament and the call for elections, which will be published in the BOJA this Tuesday.
Moreno convened an extraordinary governing council this afternoon to inform the Coalition Executive (PP-Cs) of the election date, which will be five months before the end of the term, regional government sources have reported.
The Andalusian President has also previously summoned the Andalusian Vice-President and Government Partner, John Marin (Cs), to be the first to notify him of the election call.
This election call will lead to the dissolution of the regional parliament next Tuesday, so that the plenary session scheduled for this week, which will approve the conclusions of the FAFFE Commission of Inquiry and the circular economy law.
Thus, the call for elections will lead to the deactivation of the Commission of Inquiry set up in Parliament on the extinct Andalusian Foundation for Training and Employment (FAFFE), without the plenary of the House finally being able to debate and vote on the approved opinion the same month by the representatives of PP-A, Ciudadanos (Cs) and Vox in the committee itself. The same attributed “political responsibility” for the irregularities in said entity to the former socialist presidents of the board of directors Manuel Chaves, Jose Antonio Griñán and Susana Diaz
Moreno thus ends several weeks of “reflection” and confirms the progress of the Andalusian elections, justifying the difficult economic situation and the need to arrive in time to have budgets in 2023, as the current ones are extended.
The Andalusian president was hesitating between exhausting the legislature until the fall (the limit was November 27) or bringing it forward to June, as many of the popular had asked, including Finance Minister Juan Bravo.
The appeal ignores the wishes of Juan Marín, who thought the advance was not reasonable and bet on the exhaustion of the legislature.
