Former president of the PP Pablo Casado admitted this in court on Monday did not contradict the statements he made in December 2021 about Catalan in schools because they appeared in the media, although he has assured it “I’d Do It Again”.
Sources present in the Chamber have explained to the media that Casado has stated before the judge of the investigating judge 29 of Barcelonawho has cited him as under investigation for alleged insults saying that teachers in Catalonia have instructions not to let children who speak Spanish go to the toilet.
Similarly, the same sources have explained that the former president of the PP testified via video conference and only responded to the questions of the judge and his lawyer.
During his statement, Casado explained that the information about Catalan in school “got them out of the media and since the Generalitat had not charged them, she thought them good”.
Casado made these statements during a PP appearance in Galicia, saying: “Can it be tolerated that there are teachers with instructions not to let children go to the toilet because they speak Spanish? Can it be tolerated that there are children who, because they speak Spanish during the break, they put rocks in their backpacks?”
