Survey for the municipal elections of Agurain

Date:

The jeltzales would lose the majority they gained in 2019, going from 7 to 6 councillors, although nothing is ruled out as the final result is expected to be very tight between the two formations.

EH Bildu would get 7 councilors in Aguain in a close dispute with the PNV, which would lose a councilor and consequently the mayor’s office of the city of Álava, going from 7 to 6 representatives. Everything seems to be resolved by a narrow margin of votes, as the coalition would receive 45.8% of the vote, compared to 45.5% of the jeltzales.

This is evident from this special edition of the EITB Focus macro survey, just two months before the municipal and regional elections, in which citizens will elect their representatives in the General Assemblies and the town halls, who in turn will later appoint deputy generals and mayors.

As in the previous elections, the PSE-EE would remain without representation on the consistory.
