According to a detailed analysis of the EITB Focus macro survey on voting intentions, 1 in 5 eligible voters in the Basque Autonomous Community (CAV) have not taken a decision in the municipal and regional elections on May 28. In Navarre, on the other hand, the undecided population It is much lower and does not reach 10%.

The company Silván&Miracle has examined the microdata derived from the 8,000 telephone surveys conducted for the poll – 6,600 in Álava, Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa and 1,200 in Navarra – x-raying electoral behavior and the state of public opinion in the BAC and Navarre.

In Basque countryonly 52% of those polled indicate that they will vote for a party or coalition. The remainder is divided among those who are not sure who to choose (21%), those who intend to abstain (14%) and those who do not answer (13%).

EITB Focus foresees a battle between the PNV and EH Bildu in the regional elections of Gipuzkoa. However, 10% of abstainers say they will vote for the PNV and 21% have not taken a decision.

As for the municipal elections, the battle is a bit tighter in Vitoria-Gasteiz, with PNV the virtual winner, followed by EH Bildu and PSE-EE. The socialists are the ones to stir up the most indecisive people (23%) and 2 out of 10 abstainers declare themselves indecisive; 13% opt for the PNV and 5% for the PSE-EE.

In Navarre8% of those polled have not yet decided on their vote, although when asked about their preferences, 41% cite the PSN and 24% cite the left-wing coalition Contigo Navarra (Podemos Ahal Dugu, IE, Batzarre and Equo, among others).

Finally, after analyzing the possible carryovers of votes, it can be deduced that Podemos Ahal Dugu has the highest percentage of undecided people (the rest is about 5%), with 13% in the regional elections and 22% in the Pamplona municipal elections. ./iruna.
