While Vienna is still discussing whether and when there is a health crisis, Burgenland is getting down to business. Since April there have been higher salaries for specialists.
According to the new Burgenland model, a specialist in one of the five local hospitals would earn an annual salary of EUR 140,000 gross at the start of his career, EUR 160,000 after ten years and EUR 180,000 after another ten years. By achieving an annual income of 200,000 euros just before the end of your career. This means that the hospitals in Burgenland pay the best salaries in Austria.
HR departments are satisfied
And that seems to work. As evidenced by a letter available to “Krone”, Burgenland representatives confirm the increased demand in the HR departments. The aim is to fill the open specialist positions as best as possible before the end of the year in order to be able to offer more services in the hospitals in Burgenland and to further reduce waiting times for scheduled operations and other treatments. This is intended to primarily appeal to physicians in private practice.
