From the “Breading Quota” to the “Andreas Hofer Schnitzel” to the “Gabalier Meatball”. Fake letters to Lower Austrian restaurateurs and innkeepers are currently circulating on behalf of the FPÖ Lower Austria. This announces a visit to the newly created state department to assess the inn bonus. The FPÖ is outraged.
“Apparently those half-funny authors of fake letters circulating in the name of the FPÖ to Lower Austrian innkeepers have been sleeping until April 1,” said the state party secretary of the Lower Austrian Freedom Party, Alexander Murlasits, indignantly. “The Landes-FPÖ will act with all severity against such slander and silverstone methods. Legal action is being worked out,” says Murlasits of Dirty Campaigning.
In their fake letters, the authors misuse the addresses of restaurateurs, the logo of the FPÖ Lower Austria and the sender address of the party state. In addition, the perpetrators would mock the plight of many innkeepers, according to a broadcast. “It’s just great,” Murlasits said.
“Gabalier Meatballs” and “Andreas Hofer Schnitzel”
To get the tavern bonus, the hosts should meet the following criteria: the menu must be in German and foreign terms such as ragout or pancakes must be avoided. “The more breaded dishes on the menu, the higher the rating,” says the fake letter. Because the crispy breadcrumbs are the most important thing in Eastern Austrian cuisine. The third rating point is the “red-white-red child card”. According to the authors of the letter, raising children at home starts with the very youngest. This means “Gabalier-Fleischlaberl” and “Andreas-Hofer-Schnitzel”.
FPÖ outraged
According to Murlasits, the question is whether these letters were written “by artificial intelligence or with natural stupidity”. According to the broadcast of the FPÖ, the content of the letter in any case shows a great contempt for one’s own culture and tradition. It can therefore be assumed that the authors are in the “left-green vegan milieu”, according to Murlasits. He orders the authors of the forged letter to “eat their tofu and seaweed schnitzel with cutlery and not with hammer and sickle”.
According to information from “Krone”, it is mainly restaurants in the Lilienfeld district and the towns of Laa an der Thaya and St. Pölten that are affected.
