Geroa Bai’s candidate for the presidency of Navarra has criticized Chivite’s failure to initiate procedures in the current government to make the transfers achieved effective.
Geroa Bai’s candidate for the presidency of Navarra, Uxue Barkos, has asked the PSN to “stop giving away” town halls to UPN, referring to the support it gave her in town halls like Iruña after the last election.
In an interview on Boulevard on Radio Euskadi, Barkos also criticized the fact that the socialists also supported the first budgets in the Navarran capital.
When asked about the possibility of the PSN joining the UPN to form a government in Navarre, the Iruindarra candidate replied that “we shouldn’t put ourselves in the worst case scenario”, but recalling that after the last election the socialists already “gave” him the “main town halls”.
In view of the electoral nomination of May 28, Barkos has offered more “courage” to the citizens, since it understands that during the current legislature, despite the achievement of several transfers, President María Chivite has not taken the necessary steps to make them effective: “None of the procedures have been started.”
In this sense, it has been asked what Chivite would do if the Spanish government of Pedro Sánchez opposed the transfer request demanded by most of the Navarran parties, as happened with competition from O+O+iwhich Geroa Bai has requested and to which the other forces have committed themselves.
About a possible presence of EH Bildu in a government with Geroa Bai, the Geroa Bai candidate has recalled that “we have already experienced it in the last legislature”, so she does not rule it out for the future.
