Date:

At the meeting, which could take place on Saturday 10 June, the electoral defeat will be analyzed internally.

The PSOE has the Federal Committee meets for the first days of June in which the “electoral defeat” in that of May 28 will be internally analyzed.

PSOE spokesperson and education minister Pilar Alegría has brought forward the Federal Committee’s appeal, although she has not been able to specify the day. PSOE sources pointed out how probably Saturday June 10th.

In an interview on RNE, and asked if she expects reproaches from the ‘barons’ and mayors who lost power on 28M, Alegría pointed out that after a “election defeat” it is “logical” that the state of mind “is not the best” in the socialist ranks.

“It is true that we lost the election”, but also “it is true the loss of institutional representation is greater than the number of votes himself,” he noted.

For example, the spokeswoman has defended that the president of the Spanish government, Pedro Sánchez, has taken charge of the situation created by these poor results by bringing forward the general elections to July 23.

And whether he has heard reproaches within the party, Alegría has denied: “Not at all, rather the opposite.” He has assured that what he has been able to hear is due to Sánchez for acting with “responsibility” and “restoring to citizens the ability to be the ones who decide which government they want.”
