The spokesman of the Government of Spain and the Minister of Territorial Policy have assured that they will negotiate the presidency of Navarre and the town halls in the Basque Autonomous Community with their “usual partners”, without mentioning EH Bildu.
The spokesman for the Government of Spain and Minister of Territorial Policy, Isabel Rodríguez, this Thursday appreciated the “great agreements” reached and the agreements with the PNV in this legislature, in addition to the integration of the PSOE into the Basque government, at at the same time he has rejected that they have had the same relationship with EH Bildu, pointing out that the similarities with the abertzales have been “very punctual”.
This was stated when asked why the leader of EH Bildu, Arnaldo Otegi, confirms that they have been with the PSOE for four years. The spokeswoman has found these statements “clear” in the election campaign and has indicated that the agreements with the Basque formation, for example in Navarre, were “very specific”, confirming that the “only” pacts in the Foral community for the budgets.
And regarding agreements to reconfirm the presidency of Navarre and municipalities in the Basque Autonomous Community, Rodríguez has indicated in an interview with Onda Cero that they will negotiate with their “regular partners”, without mentioning EH Bildu.
That is where he has explicitly placed the PNV, which he has emphasized as partners in the Basque government, as well as the “many coincidences” they share, both on the country model and on the development of the Basque Country. “We have made great agreements with the PNV for this country and it is a strength with which we understand each other,” he assured.
