Applications for financing for a photovoltaic system can be submitted again from this week – but interested parties should not wait too long, as the financing is expected to be awarded very soon.
After a first round in March, there is the next opportunity to apply for a subsidy for a solar power system on Wednesday from 5 p.m. Two more rounds are scheduled for this year.
It is difficult to estimate how big the stampede will be, according to the board of directors of the green power processing center OeMAG in the ORF “Morgenjournal”. Because all private applications were considered in the first round in March, it will now become clear whether the backlog has been cleared. However, he expects the grant to be awarded soon.
In this round, almost 100 million euros in the financing pot
Of the total financing budget of 600 million euros, 320 million euros have already disappeared. OeMAG has processed 31,000 small applications (up to 20 MWp) with 108 million euros, OeMAG board member Gerhard Röthlin said in the radio broadcast on Monday. The Climate and Energy Fund (KLIEN) processed another 60,000 applications. In this round, OeMAG has only 45 million euros left to reward, KLIEN 50 million euros.
Applications may not be submitted through the corporate network
It is “an exciting question” how many funding applications will be submitted in this round, according to Röthlin and board member Horst Brandlmaier, who assume that “demand should come down a bit”. Brandlmaier advises individuals not to release applications from the corporate network. Because if too many calls come in from an IP address, it will be blocked.
