In addition to those of the PSE-EE and the PP, the PNV candidate also received his party’s 27 votes. For its part, the EH Bildu candidate, Zelai Amenabarro, has received the support of her faction and Elkarrekin Podemos.
Xabier Ezeizabarrena was sworn in as President of the Gipuzkoa General Assembly this morning after receiving the support of his party, the PNV (17 votes), along with those of the PSE-EE (7) and the PP (3). That is why it obtained an absolute majority, with 27 support from the 51 junteros and junteras that make up the Chamber.
EH Bildu has also run for president, with Zelai Amenabarro as the candidate, receiving 22 votes from the pro-independence coalition and 2 from Elkarrekin Podemos.
The plenary session of the constitution has shown the existence of two blocs in the regional parliament, as in all elections today the PNV, PSE-EE and PP voted together and also EH Bildu and Elkarrekin Podemos. All groups are represented on the Mesa.
In this way, Ezeizabarrena was elected president with the 27 votes of the PNV, PSE-EE and PP in total, while the first vice-presidency fell to the socialist Jesús Zaballos, with identical support, and the second to Estitxu Elduayen, from EH Bildu, who is supported by his group and Elkarrekin Podemos.
The first secretariat will be exercised by Jorge Mota (PP), elected with the support of the PNV and the PSE-EE, while Mariví Izagirre, from Elkarrekin Podemos, will perform the second secretariat of the Table.
The majorities reflected today suggest that Eider Mendoza, of the PNV, will be elected deputy general of Gipuzkoa next week.
