Actually, activists of the last generation wanted to block Chancellor Karl Nehammer’s (ÖVP) convoy in Göttweig, Lower Austria, on Saturday afternoon as part of the “European Forum”. However, something went wrong: the climate stickers accidentally ended up in the convoy of Bulgarian President Rumen Radev.
The climate activists had retained the vehicle column for that of Chancellor Karl Nehammer (ÖVP). However, Nehammer spokesman Daniel Kosak later reported on Twitter that it was the wrong convoy.
The state police of Lower Austria confirmed that two activists stood in front of a convoy, threw a powder into the air and finally got stuck. The two activists then broke off the road themselves. Your personal data has been registered. No arrests have been made, the spokesman said.
“After three days of discussion at the Europe-Forum Wachau, members of the government still have no plan for humanity’s greatest crisis,” the activists rage in their broadcast.
The Europaforum Wachau takes place for the 27th time in Göttweig Abbey. This year the discussion will take place under the motto “Building a Resilient, Green and Competitive Europe”.
