The head of the PSN list has acknowledged that “today is not the time” as there is still no agreement with Geroa Bai and Contigo-Zurekin with whom they are negotiating, but his “clear will” to present his candidacy for the presidency advanced from Navarre.

The President of the Provincial Government in office and candidate of the PSN for re-election, María Chivite, handed over this Wednesday to the President of the Parliament of Navarra, Unai Hualde, her “determined will” to appear before an investiture President of the executive, though she has acknowledged that “today is not the time” because there is still no agreement with Geroa Bai and Contigo-Zurekin with whom they are negotiating.

Chivite stated this to the media after meeting, accompanied by the Secretary of the PSN, Ramón Alzórriz, with the Speaker of the Parliament, Unai Hualde, during the round of contacts with the political parties to decide whether to propose an inauguration debate. . The Socialist candidate has indicated her will is to submit the candidacy “when the conditions are met” and has stated that she is “trying” to get “more votes in favor than against”.

On the need to obtain EH Bildu’s abstinence in an investiture process, Chivite has indicated that “we are focused on getting a government agreement, on the program, and we have informed EH Bildu that we do not want a government agreement with them”. “All has been said,” he declared, insisting that “the investiture process will be when there are more votes for than against, that’s what I’m focused on.”

In this sense, the socialist candidate stated that “we are working hard to get 21 votes for PSN, Geroa Bai and Contigo Navarra”. “I’m going to make sure I have more votes in favor than the first political force in this Community that doesn’t have them and hasn’t even bothered to meet the rest of the formations to get them,” he said, confirming that “if it has no weight, power, or seats, that won’t stop the legislature from getting started”.
