The current PP spokesperson in the Senate, Javier Marottojust got re-elected Senator for Castilla y Leon on a joint list with former lawyer Vidal Galicia (PP) and Senator Fran Díaz (PSOE), with the votes of PP and Vox.
Finally, Vox has joined the PP in support, against PSOE, Unión del Pueblo Leonés, Soria Ya, Unidas Podemos and Por vila, while Cs has abstained, as previously announced.
The rejection of the opposition parties is linked to criticism of the PP which is reproposing the politician from Vitoria to become a senator again by appointing a community with which he had no ties until 2019, when was registered in the municipality of Sotosalbos in Segovia to meet the form requirement and to be elected, with the prospect of becoming the People’s Spokesperson in the Senate.
