The refund of corona fines in Lower Austria started on Wednesday with a symbolic check for 660 euros to a former landlady. The check was handed over personally by FPÖ State Councilor Christoph Luisser.
The former landlady’s commitment “against the unjustified corona restrictions even led to the termination of her lease without notice,” according to the state council’s office. The restaurateur said in a TV interview at the time that she welcomed “everyone” regardless of Covid measures.
“I am overjoyed that after so many setbacks I am finally getting justice,” the woman said in the broadcast. From September 1, all other fee categories of the fund, which has 31.3 million euros, should be available, Luisser said.
Support also with Long Covid and vaccination damage
Penalties imposed by the district administrators of Lower Austria on the basis of laws later repealed by the Constitutional Court (VfGH) will be reimbursed as part of the black and blue decided fund. Support can also be requested for, among other things, long-term Covid consequences and vaccination disorders. There are also subsidies for clubs.
