Hohenecker’s letters of formal notice – “Haas, there is an insane amount in the account”

The chats from the interim report of the investigation (it is available for inspection at “Krone”, right in the original with errors) suggest that it is not about lawyer and client, but about an amorous duo, which is considered original because it is a could have developed a criminally relevant business idea. The corruption hunters are investigating serious commercial fraud.

So it happened like this: the focus is on the Lower Austrian lawyer Hohenecker. On behalf of his client Eva Anna Z., he had sent no less than 33,000 warning letters to website operators and private individuals. In it, he demanded 190 euros in damages for alleged data protection violations, it is said.

Success message: “It works. Bingo”
Many website operators would have been taken in by Hohenecker’s lawyer and paid the required 190 euros to quickly settle a potentially impending legal dispute.

This is exactly the reaction that the love duo Hohenecker and Eva Anna Z. may have been hoping for. On July 13, 2022, Hohenecker wrote a success message to Eva Anna Z.: “It works. 16 have paid. Bingo.” That was just the beginning. “Please send me your account number,” Hohenecker demands of his girlfriend Eva Anna Z. She replies, “Never mind, we’re going to be very rich.”

The Hoheneckers: Always good for surprises
The cause offers another spicy detail. The suspected lawyer Marcus Hohenecker comes from a well-known family of judges. The suspect’s father is the husband of ex-judge Marion Hohenecker, who sentenced Karl-Heinz Grasser to eight years in prison.

Father Hohenecker, in turn, published four biased tweets about Grasser in 2015 and 2017 and received a disciplinary penalty of one month’s salary. The stepmother Marion Hohenecker recently switched to the WKStA – of all the authorities investigating her stepson.

Speaking of the father: the judge has been asked for legal advice by the son. The father replies that he has “always advised against doing such things”.
