The parliament approves the appeal against the state housing law to the Constitutional Court

ERC, Junts and the CUP voted in favor of lodging an appeal with the Constitutional Court. The PSC and the municipalities voted against, while Vox, CS and PP abstained.

The plenary session of the Parliament of Catalonia has approved the appeal against the state housing law to the Constitutional Court (TC) for invasion of regional powers, on the proposal of the ERC and the Junts, with the support of the CUP.

He PSC and the commonplace voted against it while CS, Vox and the PP they have abstained.

While the ERC and Junts are in favor of the appeal, they crossed the line during the plenary session harsh accusations for his role in the passing of that law.

ERC voted in favor of the housing bill in Congress of the Deputies, but joined the Junt’s request to appeal to the TC after the Consell de Garanties Estatutàries (CGE) warned that several articles and provisions of the law violated the exclusive powers of the Generalitat in the field of housing and urban planning, established by the TC.
