A top domestic authority has no new management: “Still consistent and successful,” said the interim boss.
The management positions of the Federal Competition Authority (BWB) and the Federal Administrative Court (BVwG) have been vacant for months. The authorities also do not expect a decision soon in the political postal game between turquoise and green.
ÖVP candidate Michael Sachs is rejected by the Greens as BWB boss despite being first on the committee. He is not qualified enough. Sachs is also a vice president at BVwG. Sabine Matejka should take over here. She recently resigned as president of the Association of Judges in protest of the deadlock. The BWB criticizes the reporting, as a result of which it is partly competent to act. The interim director, Natalie Harsdorf-Borsch, runs the authority “consistently and successfully”. Nevertheless, solutions are needed, warn the Federal President and the EU. Turquoise Green emphasizes again: “We are confident that we can announce a result in a timely manner.”
