The reason was serious health problems, but he did not want to give details: “It is an urgent advice from my medical companions,” he said, justifying the step. “I have been fighting for my health for four months, the battle can be won if you set the right priorities.”
He will resign from his political positions in the coming days. State Governor Christopher Drexler stood next to his party colleague on Thursday afternoon at the official announcement in the Graz Landhaus.
