According to republican sources, the ERC leadership has given the green light to the global agreement reached with the PSOE on the appointment of Pedro Sánchez as president of the government, although the republican militants must now endorse the pact in consultation.
The ERC National Executive met electronically this afternoon and approved the agreement with the Socialists, the details of which will be explained this afternoon at 5:15 pm during a press conference by party leader Oriol Junqueras at the republican headquarters in Barcelona.
Meanwhile, the former president of the Generalitat, Carles Puigdemont, convened the leadership of the Junts in Belgium on Thursday to decide on the pact with the PSOE. According to several sources, the investiture deal between PSOE and Junts is “on the verge of being given the green light”, although the pact has not yet been concluded.
