The number of corona cases is increasing again
In view of the increasing cases of Corona and flu, he advised people to wear face masks again where many elderly or sick people gather.
Nearly 30,000 people in Austria were on sick leave last week due to a corona infection – and the trend is increasing, the ÖGK warns.
Now wastewater monitoring also shows a clear picture: since the outbreak of the Covid pandemic, the concentration of SARS-CoV-2 in wastewater has never been as high as it is today.
The Green Minister of Health also appealed to take advantage of the free corona vaccination. “The corona vaccination protects against becoming seriously ill, although there are many claims to the contrary and a lot of nonsense,” said Rauch.
400 new statutory health care doctor positions
An additional billion will be invested in the healthcare system every year. “There should be more insurance offices for doctors. “I want everyone to receive good medical care,” the minister is certain.
