Karl Nehammer has been Chancellor for two years now. As part of another anniversary, namely the 100th anniversary of the Federal Chancellery, the ÖVP leader also made a brief personal assessment in his speech. The 51-year-old shows off his dog ‘Fanny’ on social media.
In a Facebook video, the Bavarian mountain jumper explains that as a puppy she had no idea “what adventure awaited me”. There was already a lot to discover at the Ministry of the Interior. “But on December 6, 2021, things really got exciting.” Then Nehammer’s inauguration as Chancellor took place.
The then three-year-old four-legged friend “took the Federal Chancellery by storm”. Two exciting and interesting years followed, which are also demonstrated in the video by the Chancellor’s rapid succession of appointments on the national and international stage. “Fanny” was also there on many of these occasions. But even on long working days at the office, she is always a source of support (see photo below).
Challenging years, but also a lot of joy
“What have we both experienced in these two years?” Nehammer then asks his faithful companion. These were two challenging years. But there was also a lot of joy when something was successful.
“It is a great honor to serve the country and its people,” Nehammer emphasizes and says goodbye with the words: “I believe in our Austria.”
