The general coordinator of EH Bildu, Arnaldo Otegi, stated this Friday, at the opening of the coalition’s first municipal conference, that this political formation “is a leader in a different model of democracy”, more participatory and cooperative.

EH Bildu is bringing together hundreds of councilors and mayors this Friday and Saturday in Pamplona at its first municipal conference, which will include the presence of members of Ireland’s Sinn Fein and the Scottish SNP, to debate the “new leaders”.

The municipalism of EH Bildu, he explained, “is also an integral project, which strives for the Basque Republic as equals, the territorial structure of the country, the sovereignty of the country and the construction of progressive and egalitarian alternatives”.

“No one will steal our smile, because no one will stop us, because this is a country that has met the challenges in the most difficult circumstances and will know how to do it in the future,” he concluded.
