The NEOS are reorganizing their “tenth” state group for the upcoming EU and National Council elections. The team, which operates under the name NEOS X, represents the interests of approximately 600,000 Austrians living abroad.
The team’s new spokesperson is internationally active lawyer Arlette Zakarian. She has been an Austrian abroad for years.
Dual nationality as a central theme
That is why she is very aware of the concerns, the party said in a statement on Thursday. She wants to make dual citizenship and constituencies an issue in the upcoming elections.
The deputy state spokesperson Klaus Kitzmüller, Elmar Andrée, Alexander List, Alexander Philipp Rader, Constantin Sluka and Anja Trenkwalder were elected as further members of the state team.
