A PNV-EH Bildu coalition, favorite combination for the future Basque government

Date:

In the event that no party obtains an absolute majority in the elections, a coalition government between PNV and EH Bildu would be the citizens’ preferred option for the future Euskadi government.

A coalition government between PNV and EH Bildu would be the citizens’ favorite option for the future Euskadi executive, in the event that no party wins an absolute majority in the elections, according to the EITB Focus survey conducted in January executed.

The association of Jeltzales and EH Bildu would therefore be the preferred formula for 18.7% of respondents. Very close, a PNV-PSE-EE coalition would be elected by 17.2% of citizens, and at a great distance 5.4% would opt for a government of EH Bildu and Elkarrekin Podemos. Only 3.5% would bet on a joint government of EH Bildu and PSE-EE.

The PNV-EH Bildu option is the favorite of one in three voters of the nationalist coalition. According to the EITB Focus, 32.5% of EH Bildu voters would choose this union. However, the Jeltzale voter would prefer that the PNV join forces with PSE-EE, as shown by 42.7% of the responses.

The hypothetical coalition between EH Bildu and Elkarrekin Podemos would be the second option for the voters of Pello Otxandiano’s party.

It is also striking that half of the socialist electorate is determined to continue a Basque government in coalition with the PNV, and only 6.5% would prefer the PSE-EE to lead alongside EH Bildu.
