Respondents in the new episode of EITB Focus rated the management of the Basque government with a 6.3 (out of 10), a tenth higher than the figure from last March’s survey.
Thus, 84.5% of evaluations awarded a grade between 5 and 10, i.e. they approved the management of the current Executive, four points more than in March 2023.
PNV voters have awarded the current Basque government an average of 7.31, that of EH Bildu a 5.79 and that of the PSE-EE a 7.30.
On the other hand, the Spanish government surpasses the approval rating among Basque citizens for the first time, according to EITB Focus.
In concrete terms, it achieves an average of 5.2, three tenths higher than the figure achieved last year in the EITB Focus. Nearly seven in ten respondents approved of the work of Pedro Sánchez’s director.
PNV voters rated the management of the Spanish government at 5.32, that of EH Bildu at 5.15 and that of the PSE-EE at 6.80.
When asked about satisfaction with the work of their Provincial Council, eight in ten respondents gave their institution a satisfactory rating. The average score is 6.3, the highest score in recent years.
PNV voters have awarded their Provincial Council a 7.25, that of EH Bildu a 5.78 and that of PSE-EE a 7.38, according to EITB Focus.
Finally, as regards the management of the municipal council of each respondent, 81.2% rated the management between 5 and 10. The average score achieved by the council’s management was 6.3, also the highest score of the latest EITB Focus.

1,800 people living in the BAC were interviewed to prepare the EITB Focus survey (600 in each historical area).
The fieldwork was conducted from January 24 to 29 through telephone interviews.
