Vice Chancellor Werner Kogler commented on many topics in an interview on krone.tv and spoke out especially violently against the FPÖ.
“It is still not clear what exactly this Russian friendship treaty is about. Hence my statement about blue Putin friends. If there is a government with the FPÖ, then we will have an Orbanistan and an economic decline,” the vice-chancellor said.
When it came to gas supply, Kogler was very critical of previous governments that had signed a contract until 2040: “The contract was concluded after 2014, when people already knew what an evil dictator Putin was. I think what happened was an economic crime. This is a red carpet with a trail of slime. We must not finance this brutal gang of murderers. So get off the Russian gas.” There is also an option to get out of the long-term contract, you just have to want it.
He cannot understand the activities of the climate adhesives: “It may be well intentioned, but it is carried out clumsily. In a democracy you have to find majorities and not irritate majorities.’ Kogler quotes Green EU leadership candidate Lena Schilling, who said: “You can’t crawl on the commuters’ asses when they go to work in the morning.” He also has another example of bad practice: “It is also nonsense when people dump photos in museums. Because at a certain point the Van Gogh painting no longer needs soup. Because Van Gogh’s painting does not pose a threat to the climate.”
There was also a heated discussion on the subject of car engines, on e-fuels as fuel and on the “disguised German Finance Minister”.
