Congress President Francina Armengol has announced that she will take action against the PP for “breaking all red lines” by involving it in the alleged “Koldo case” of corruption surrounding the purchase of masks in the Balearic Islands : ‘I will not allow them to tarnish my name and mix it with anything that resembles corruption.
Armengol appeared at a press conference following the PP’s resignation request over the mask case, stating that “not everything goes into politics.”
The Congress president has criticized the main opposition party’s move to “cloud politics” by registering initiatives such as her dismissal as a “necessary employee” in this alleged corrupt plot, which she “views with pain.”
“Neither I nor anyone from my government is under investigation, nor does it appear in the summary or anything. I ask the PP for responsibility and that they seize the opportunity. I am going to defend my name, that of my government, and that of this institution because the citizens do not deserve according to which lens,” he repeated after asking the PP of the Balearic Islands to explain “with documents”.
Armengol has categorically denied that neither former Transport Minister José Luis Ábalos “nor anyone from the government, and no one is anyone”, pressured or coerced her to sign a contract with the company in the Koldo case or and then initiate a claim file.
