Iran’s leadership has strongly condemned US President Donald Trump about the political and spiritual head of Iran of Ajatollah Ali Khameni. “If President Trump really wants an agreement, he would have to make the disrespectful and unacceptable tone against the highest leader of Iran and stop to insult millions of convinced supporters,” said Minister of Foreign Affairs Abbas Araghtschi on Saturday.
“The large and powerful Iranian people that showed the world that the Israeli regime had no choice than running so as not to be destroyed by our rockets, does not take any threats and insults in a friendly way,” added Iranian Foreign Minister. The Iranian main diplomat apparently played on a statement from NATO general secretary Mark Rutte at the top of the military alliance in The Hague a few days ago.
“Violent fight on the schoolyard”
There, US President Donald Trump described the war between Israel and Iran as “violent fight on the schoolyard”. “You can’t stop them. They just have to run for two or three minutes, then you can stop them more easily,” the American head of state added. Rutte then threw in the grin: “And then Dad sometimes has to use violent words.”
In his online service truth social on Friday, the American president also said it was a “lie” when Khamei said he had won the war against Israel. On the contrary, he – Trump – has prevented Israel from bombing the hiding place of the Ajatollah, whom he knew “exactly”.
Trump announces new nuclear negotiations
Trump has announced new nuclear negotiations with Tehran for next week. However, it is still unclear whether and when they take place. “Iran wants to meet each other,” said Trump in Washington. Araghtschi, however, rejected this view.
