The current ‘TV duel’ between Andreas Mölzer and Eva Glawischnig on krone.tv was, among other things, about the numerous arrests of climate stickers in Vienna last week. In concrete terms, there were more than 100 arrests, 3,700 reports and 150 reports sent directly to the criminal justice system.
Glawischnig: “My solidarity has come to an end. We have reached a point where the focus is on the blockade and not on the issue.” Mölzer adds: “The Greens now also see that the climate adhesives are harming them.” Above all, the blockade of Parliament leaves both duelists speechless: “The Action in front of Parliament reminded me of the storming of the Capitol in the US.” Glawischnig adds: “Such an action is not possible. Parliament is sacred.”
Another topic of discussion was the poor performance of 32 politicians surveyed in the most recent OGM confidence index. Conclusion: Positive values predominate for only five people, but for 27 (!) the negative balance predominates.
Mölzer: “At the bottom are those who polarize, but still sometimes win the elections.” However, the Federal President is at the top of the confidence index by a clear margin. Mölzer: “That’s an old leftist and I don’t need that. But he’s still a nice gentleman.’
You can see the two duelists’ respective stances on these and many other political topics in the video above.
In the krone.tv format “The Duel”, public figures discuss current national and international crises every week.
