The COFAG-U parliamentary committee will initially have to do without Alfred Gusenbauer (SPÖ). Signa’s former chancellor and former supervisory board was invited to provide information on April 25 at the request of the Greens.
It was confirmed to the Crown on Wednesday that the ex-chancellor had canceled that day.
It is unlikely that there will be a new invitation: the last two days of the study will take place on April 24 and 25.
“Gusenbauer has contributed a lot”
Gusenbauer has made a major contribution to Rene Benko’s “castles in air production,” said Green Party member Nina Tomaselli, explaining her group’s request. They want to question him as a “player in Benko’s shell game” about the tax structures, Benko’s luxurious life financed by Signa Holding and also about Gusenbauer’s fees. Anyone who participates must also take responsibility, Tomaselli said, something Gusenbauer has so far vehemently rejected.
