The meeting will take place at 5:30 PM at the Palacio de Navarra. The reform of the Organic Law of Reintegration and Improvement of the Foral Regime of Navarre was launched following the ruling of the Supreme Court, in which it annulled the transfer of traffic that took place on July 1.
The Palacio de Navarra organizes this Tuesday from 5:30 PM the first meeting of the Navarre-State Negotiating Committee to discuss the reform of the organic law of reintegration and improvement of the foral regime of Navarre (LORAFNA), so that the provincial community can protect traffic competition, as reported by the provincial government in a memorandum.
On behalf of Navarre, the First Vice President and Advisor of the Presidency and Equality, Félix Taberna, will participate; the second vice president and advisor of Memory and Coexistence, Foreign Action and Basque, Ana Ollo; the Third Vice President and Advisor for Housing, Youth and Migration Policy, Begoña Alfaro; and the General Director of the Presidency, Open Government and Relations with the Parliament of Navarra, Joseba Asiain.
On behalf of the Spanish State, the Minister of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory, Ángel Víctor Torres, will be present at the meeting; the Secretary of State for Territorial Policy, Arcadi Spain; the Secretary General of Territorial Coordination, – Miryam Álvarez; the General Director of Autonomous and Local Cooperation, Alejandra del Río; and the delegate of the Spanish government in Navarre, Alicia Echeverría.
The First Vice President and Advisor to the Presidency and Equality, Felix Tabernaand the State Secretary for Territorial Policy, Arcadi Spainthey loved in March a meeting at the Palace of Navarre where they reiterated “the political will of both governments, of Navarre and Spain, to formulate the necessary mechanism to move forward with the commitment regarding traffic powers. We are faced with a historic issue for Navarre and with two committed Strengthening self-government means strengthening the country.
It must be remembered that the LORAFNA reform was launched afterwards Supreme Court rulingin which he transfer took place on July 1.
The President of Navarre, Maria Chivitehas asked the Spanish Government to open negotiations to reach the necessary agreement, which will ultimately be submitted to the approval of the State Cortes Generales, prior to the approval of the Navarra Parliament.
Since its adoption in 1982, there have been two partial reforms of the LORAFNA, approved in 2001 and 2010.
