Socialist sources have clarified that Saturday’s Federal Committee will focus on talking about Sánchez’s decision to cancel his public agenda and will take time for reflection until Monday, when he will announce his future.
He PSOE postponed until Tuesday the meeting of the Federal List Commission, which will approve the party’s candidacy for the elections European electionsand that will take place when the decision is made on Monday Pedro Sanchez about its future, although this Saturday it maintains the Federal Committee.
Socialist sources have clarified that the Federal Committee (the party’s highest body between congresses) will focus on talking about the Sánchez’s decision to cancel his public agenda and a reflection time until Monday, when he will announce his future.
In this way, next Saturday in Madrid, the Federal Committee will be completely transformed into an act of support to Sánchez, by no longer accepting the ratification of the list for the Europeans, which was the original reason for convening this meeting.
In addition to the internal speeches that exist in the Federal Committee, there will be a concentration at 11 a.m. at the gates of Ferraz, called by socialists through social networks to support Sánchez and for which PSOE groups from different areas rent buses with the aim of facilitating the movement of people interested in joining.
The PSOE’s original plan was for the Federal Lists Commission to declare its candidacy this Friday for the June 9 European elections, led, predictably, by the government’s third vice-president. Teresa Riberaand that it was ratified by the Federal Committee on Saturday.
Now, however, it will be the Federal List Committee that will directly approve the candidacy in its meeting postponed until Tuesday.
It will be a day after Sánchez announces the decision he is making about his future, after he reported in a letter on Wednesday that he was taking time to think about the complaint against his wife Begoña Gómez.
