The anti-protocol demonstration, which has been postponed due to the death of Christopher Stanford, will take place this evening.
The Crossgar and Co Down event will be attended by many of the dignitaries who have attended previous rallies, including TUV Leader Jim Alistair, DUP Chairman Jeffrey Donaldson, former Brexit Speaker Ben Habib and Baroness Kate Hoy.
Ulster Union Assembly nominee Jill McCall was also included to attend the event and to deliver a speech that one of the organizers described as “important”.
Robbie Butler, UUP MLA, faced some criticism for attending a demonstration in Drumor in February.
He said he wanted to work with voters, but Michael Long, a member of the Belfast Alliance Council, said he was “disappointed” to see the UUP in what he called “Ulster Says No” in politics.
This evening’s event was organized in part by Orange Order’s Lecale District LOL Number 2. In a statement issued prior to the event on February 25, the forum said it was being postponed “in honor of the tragic and tragic fallout from the untimely death of his brother Christopher Stallford.”
According to them, the work “will now continue on Friday, March 11th at 7:30”.
This event followed another anti-protocol demonstration in Markethill, Co Armagh, where DUP Representative Sam Wilson witnessed an insult by the people.
More promotions are scheduled for March 25 in Ballymoni, April 8 in Lorgan, April 21 in Castlederg and April 23 in Newpoldings.
