“Rainer Nowak Talk” in the middle of a hot election campaign phase: Heidi Glück, Sonja Kato and Christoph Pöchinger discussed party strategies and missteps.
The coalition dispute over the positive vote of Minister of Green Climate Leonore Gewessler on the renaturation law in the EU brought the coalition to the brink of collapse. In view of the upcoming National Council elections, this was also the topic of the “Rainer Nowak Talk” on krone.tv. How do political advisors see developments? “It is unique in the republic. The complaint against the minister. The coming phase will be very exciting,” says Heidi Glück, a communications expert close to the ÖVP, who accuses the chancellor’s party of not having anticipated Gewessler’s expected voting behavior. “The Greens have an advantage because of this initiative. The ÖVP needs tactical skills. The two who can save this are club presidents Sigi Maurer and August Wöginger.”
Remarkably, FPÖ advisor Christoph Pöchinger also saw a “brilliant move” by the Green minister.
SPÖ-affiliated company director Sonja Kato said: “This behavior does not promote trust in green and black. You are expected to figure it out in a mature way. I know that from primary school, where people tell the other person to the teacher.”
There was an emotional debate about this episode and political strategies in times of crisis. On crown.tv. Also take a look at krone.at.
