– Renewal of the CGPJ: PP and PSOE have reached an agreement to proceed with the “immediate” renewal of the General Council for the Judiciary (CGPJ), after an expired five-and-a-half-year mandate. The Minister of the Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Cortes, Félix Bolaños, and the PP Deputy Secretary of Institutional Affairs, Esteban González Pons, signed the CGPJ renewal agreement yesterday afternoon. In concrete terms, PSOE and PP have agreed to renew the twenty members and twelve alternates of the CGPJ, who will take office in July.
– Survey on mediation: Eustat today publishes the statistical processing regarding the Combination of work, family and private life that workers living in the Basque Autonomous Community (CAV) must make their working life compatible with their family life (related to household chores and family care) and their personal life (related to their own space and time, individually in which they care and interact with themselves with their environment).
– Labor dispute at Bilbobus: The Bilbobus staff is voting today on the principle of agreement between the Biobide company and the works council to end the indefinite strike that the Bilbobus staff has been conducting since April 9. The preliminary agreement must be ratified by the Assembly of Bilbobus Workers and by the Bilbao City Council. The ELA union has signaled its rejection of the latest offer from the concessionaire of Bilbobus services and has defended the continuation of the indefinite strike.
