The new left-wing coalition has won in the three Basque capitals and also in the three constituencies. The Popular Front has won 55,206 votes, while the far-right RN party is the second largest with 44,214 votes.
The Popular Front, the new left-wing coalition, was the first force in Iparralde in the United States first round of elections. Moreover, C. Capdevielle (PS-FHB) also won in the three capitals with 8,942 votes in Baiona; Iñaki Echaniz (PS-FHB) with 340 votes in Donibane Garazi and the same Echaniz with 762 in Maule.
The left-wing coalition obtained 55,206 votes in Iparralde. The far-right party RN came second with 44,214 votes, followed by ENS with 38,479 votes, LR with 18,534, PNV with 6,059 and Eutsi with 4,993.
So with 29.43% of the votes, Peio Dufau of the New Popular Front (EH Bai) receives the most support in the sixth constituency, closely followed by Christian Deveze, Macron’s candidate, with 26.92% of the votes. In turn, the far-right candidate Víctor Lastecoueres, about a thousand votes away, was left with 25.29% of the vote.
Colette Capdevielle, from the PS and candidate of the New Popular Front, won the fifth constituency with 22,643 votes, 32.30%. Second place was won by the far-right RN: Serge Rosso, with 27.54% of the votes. In third place is Modem representative Florence Lasserre.
The acting deputy of the New Popular Front, Iñaki Echaniz, ranks first in the fourth constituency (38.01%). In second place was National Union candidate Sylviane López, with 25.62% of the votes. The Biarnese Jean Lassalle is third with 18.05% of the votes. All three can participate in the second round. So next Sunday it will be a second round between three candidates.
