Manfred Kölly simply can’t help it. The former mayor of Deutschkreutz (Burgenland) and “The Yellows” are working together. The 69-year-old wants to participate in the elections for the National Council in the autumn.
His political career began at Deutschkreutz when Manfred Kölly became a member of the city council in 1992. In 2002 he was elected mayor with 58 percent of the vote. He only handed over the scepter to his successor in the autumn of 2021.
Always on the tractor
In the years 2000 to 2005 and from 2010 to 2020, Kölly was also a member of the state parliament. Once FPÖ, he later headed the specially created Free Citizens List and then the Burgenland List.
Party mobilizes
In three weeks, the former local boss will celebrate his 70th birthday. But peace has not yet returned. Now the always busy long-term politician is mobilizing for the elections for the National Council on September 29, namely for the Yellow Alliance (BGE).
‘The best for everyone’ is the party’s slogan. We need enough supporters to sign the declaration of support, which is already circulating on the internet – the deadline is July 9.
Dissatisfied with politics
For now, Kölly only says this about his motivation: “The dissatisfaction with current politics is very great. A new style is needed. We will present all the details on Thursday.”
