Urkullu will head a pro-European foundation promoting democratic values

The new foundation will be called Bask Atlantik and will begin its journey before the end of the year. It will have 24 public and private employers, and its headquarters will be in Bilbao.

Bask Atlantik will also serve, the sources add, so that Euskadi’s interests “are present in circles of influence.” But it will not only be a foundation for Euskadi, because Urkullu will act as a bridge for the whole Atlantic archincluding Portugal. Something it was already doing in its role in the Euregio or promoting the high-speed train for the Cantabrian and Atlantic regions,” they clarified.
