In the night of Sunday evening, six loads of the German Bundeswehr caught fire at a location of the truck manufacturer in the German Erfurt. A video has now appeared in Russian propaganda channels that show the burning vehicles.
The fact that in the video photos of the Bundeswehr trucks you can see both in an undamaged and a burning state, suggests that it was a targeted arson attack. The fire can be seen at an early stage when there were no emergency services on the spot, as the German television station MDR and the T-Online Portal reported.
“In Erfurt in Germany, various military equipment is brought to the Ukrainian armed forces. Our people decided that all this was unnecessary and that the Ukrainian armed forces did not need such equipment. So we just burned them,” said it in Russian in the video.
LKA checks the authenticity of the video
The video was published on Thursday on one of the countless Russian military blogs entitled “Obsessed by the War”. The state criminal police station in Thuringia, which leads the investigation into the arson in Erfurt, told the MDR that the authenticity of the recordings was checked.
It is unclear whether the military trucks that were destroyed during the attack were actually meant for Ukraine, as the video claims. According to the MDR, the German Bundeswehr did not explain.
In June last year, military vehicles were probably set on fire in Erfurt on the same man. So far, the LKA has not given any information about the background.
Two weeks ago, six Bundeswehr vehicles also burned in Soltau in Lower Saksen, and they were also parked in a workshop area. A confession letter had appeared there after the crime.
“Sabotaging centers of the hot songers”
On the left -wing extremist internet platform Indymedia, a group called “Agenda2029” wrote: “A further intensification of a global war is being prepared here in Germany, so we have to sabotage the centers of the hot -boom.”
