The anecdote took place shortly before 9:30 am in the Culture, Basque Country and Sport committee room, where the department’s minister, Ibone Bengoetxea, planned to explain the main challenges facing this department over the next four years.
Some MPs have warned that there was a condom, apparently usedon the floor. Unable to contain their laughter, they pulled out their cell phones to photograph the condom until the ushers removed it with a handkerchief and threw it in the trash.
As sources in Parliament explained to EFE: the room was cleaned half an hour earlier from the beginning of the commission and at that time there was nothing on the floor, so the condom could have fallen out of the pocket of one of the people who entered the room after it had been prepared for the appearance of the counsel. They also say that it could very well have been a joke.
