Former Chancellor Sebastian Kurz (ÖVP) has founded a new company.
The new company is certainly not Kurz’s first foray into entrepreneurship; Since leaving politics, he has founded investment companies and is active in the field of cybersecurity.
In addition to Kurz, entrepreneurs Markus Friesacher and Emanuel Fussenegger are involved in ‘KFF Vision Green’, which was registered in the commercial register on Wednesday, the ‘Standard’ reported on Wednesday. The latter is said to be registered in Abu Dhabi and, according to ‘Standaard’, has ‘the best connections’ with ex-OMV boss Rainer Seele. He appears in the German commercial register as an authorized representative of Seele Consulting Group GmbH. Friesacher, for example, worked as Senior Vice President of OMV. In 2018 he bought the Gmundner ceramics factory.
The company is located in Vienna’s Fichtegasse, which “is actually an office community where ex-Agriculture Minister Elisabeth Köstinger, ex-Finance Minister Gernot Blümel and ex-Kürz chief of staff Bernhard Bonelli also live,” the paper continues.
Chemical products in focus
The ‘KFF Vision Green’ deals with ‘all types of goods, especially chemical products that are produced synthetically’, according to the partnership agreement. The company will be active in the business of “AdBlue”. “AdBlue” is used to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions in diesel engines, a Kurz spokesperson explains.
