Because in government – NEOS celebrates their 10th anniversary with a new logo

Date:

The NEOS are celebrating their tenth anniversary this week. To mark this, they presented a new poster campaign in front of the parliament in Vienna on Monday. The party members looked back on their beginnings and revealed their next goal: government participation at the federal level.

“After a decade of keeping up to date, enlightening and critically constructive opposition work and our daily commitment to much-needed political renewal in Austria, we now want to start something new with ourselves,” said NEOS Secretary General Douglas Hoyos. “That’s why we’re giving ourselves a new look for our anniversary: a completely new NEOS corporate identity.” On the posters is party leader Beate Meinl-Reisinger, her gaze raised. The buzzwords “Freedom – Progress – Justice” are used to advertise, serving as the new motto from now on. In Austria, a “progressive and decent political alternative to the long-standing parties” is needed.

Progress in transparency and education
Hoyos cited the debate on transparent party finance and education as particular successes of the past ten years. The “shameless use of taxpayers’ money” is no longer a trivial crime, education is discussed more intensively politically. “We are in the state government in Vienna and Salzburg, represented in seven state parliaments and we can no longer imagine being in the EU parliament,” Hoyos said. In the future, the party also wants to participate in the federal government. The NEOS probably has until 2024 to convince new voters, when the next regular National Council elections are.

Festival in the workshop of Vienna
The tenth anniversary is being celebrated in the Viennese workshops. From Friday afternoon, political speeches and music with food and drink are on the program there.
